Becoming free of your stories is what awakening and enlightenment are all about. You awaken out of the false self to a sense of yourself that is free of any story. When you are empty of all stories, you can know yourself as the light being that you are. Becoming enlightened is a process of becoming less and less who you thought you were and more and more who you truly are. You become so empty of thoughts that all that is left is light.
