Citizens of Israel—including its numerous Arab citizens—have the right to speak freely, worship freely, and live openly as gay or lesbian. In Iran, all of these things are forbidden; some are even punishable by execution. And yet, since its creation, the HRC has condemned Israel ten times more often than it has criticized Iran.
