Once again, the Syrians and Russians denied the attack. Russia claimed that evidence of a chemical-weapons attack had been planted in Douma by the United States and Great Britain. The images of the dead were fake, they said. The victims were actors. The depth of the Russian lies would almost be comical if the setting wasn’t so deadly serious and sad.
