We found two rooms with “Apocalypsis” one after the other, and, immediately following them, one with “Cecidit de coelo Stella magna,” “A great star fell from the heavens.” The source of the phrases on the scrolls was obvious—they were verses from the Apocalypse of John—but it was not at all clear why they were painted on the walls or what logic was behind their arrangement.
