Give yourself time and you will put us all to shame once more.” I look over at him in surprise, and I realize he speaks the truth. In his eyes, he sees me as strongest. Not as broken, nor useless, just strong. I nod at him, unable to find the words to express how I feel. Seeing the respect in his eyes makes me feel…different. Better.
