Q: We’ve seen China’s dramatic transformation since the late 1970s. Can you sketch for us what in your view are the main factors that account for this incredible transformation of China’s economy? A: Well first, I think it’s related to Deng Xiaoping changing their policies. It was a reclusive China isolated from the world.
