Stay with a happy ending and it turns to tragedy; stay a while longer, and the story shows you something else. So keep going, is all I’d say, and make a little room for faith. That’s what this story is about, at least where it is now. Still falling forwards, still seeing ghosts, but trusting my own buoyancy, and ability to endure. Trusting there will be giddy pleasures and love to come, pain too, in which we are no less vital. There’s a wildness that will not be tamed in all this. Pay attention to it, I think to myself. Keep your eyes on it.
