Women are often still perceived as too emotional. When certain men (and some women too!) hear a lot of Person-type language and see Person behavior, particularly from women, they dismiss their ideas as too soft. On the other hand, when women use mainly Thing language, while it seems more credible, they are often perceived as "too hard".
