Kindle Notes & Highlights
This is a short book packed with ideas which - IF IMPLEMENTED - will make you less busy and more productive.
the aim of productivity should never be to do more, it should be to do less, more effectively.
productivity is getting the stuff you want to do done in as few steps as possible.
You need to find a way to get the core stuff done, the stuff that makes you effective but still allows you time to have a life. And a good life at that.
Work smarter, not harder. Be productive, not busy.
CRITICAL – If you don’t do this now, your life, job, bank balance will be in critical danger or peril. This is the stuff you keep on the list before you keep it on your list check and see if someone else can do it. URGENT – This is the stuff that has an imminent deadline. It's not necessarily important, but it is timebound. Again, before it goes on your list, can someone else do it? IMPORTANT – This is tasks or project that are important to complete, but not urgent. They might become urgent or even critical over time.
You need to force yourself, your body and your mind not to get too used to one seat or one environment for working in. Make it work where-ever you can when you give it the signal.
