Saying no is a design skill. Asking why is a design skill. Rolling your eyes and staying quiet is not.
If your work is so fragile that it can’t withstand criticism, it shouldn’t exist.
taking a shit in the pool affects all swimmers.
If you do not hold your ground on doing bad work, the designer behind you will have to work twice as hard to make up for that choice.
We are not hired hands, we are not pixelpushers, we are not order-takers. We are gatekeepers.
The world isn’t broken. It’s working exactly as it was designed to work. And we’re the ones who designed it. Which means we fucked up.
