As a part of our literal-mindedness, many of us on the spectrum are sticklers for the truth. If someone asks for our opinion, we’re inclined to give it to them, unabridged, because we respect their intelligence. That said, there is a world of difference between honesty and unsolicited comments. I, like many a person with autism, have found this out the hard way.
