I have this theory. I don’t know if this holds water, but it’s just that if death is the end of the story, how the story ends, then marriage is a giant step in that direction. Actually, the fear of marriage is the fear of death.
I do not like people who complain about being famous. But I’d say to people, “You want to be rich and famous? Try being rich and see if that doesn’t cover most of it for you.”
What stops us from looking at ourselves and seeing ourselves is that we’re kind of ugly if we look really hard. We’re not who we think we are. We’re not as wonderful.
