“When that offender goes to jail, her physical safety may be okay, but her life might unravel [with] the loss of support. You have to restore that victim back to the state they were in before that violence occurred.” To Dunne, this is critical. Victims often come with their own set of issues. Addiction, poverty, unemployment. Dunne is not trying to fix every aspect of someone’s life.
