“Why are the ministry not salaried?” Salaried ministry would mean a business agreement where a minister would serve a church for a given period of time for a stipulated payment of money. This would be in direct conflict with Paul’s teaching and example. “What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I make the gospel of God without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.” (I Cor 9:18)
