Sometimes I think that we need to reconsider our cooperation mechanisms in the Arab world, whether through the GCC or the Arab League, and rethink its fundamental structures and modes of operation. These mechanisms are managed by politicians, mainly ministers of foreign affairs, who are primarily concerned with firefighting political crises and therefore overlook longer-term opportunities and agendas.
