When reading in the Gospels, I’ve learned to pay close attention to Jesus, specifically what he says and does but, maybe more importantly, also what he doesn’t say and doesn’t do. The action of God in the person of Jesus is recorded for us in Scripture. We don’t have to wonder what God would do if he were a person. He is a person, and here is what he did.
