Lindon stretched his hand out, reaching for her face. She stared at the hand approaching, thoughts whirling in place. Her heart hammered harder. But his hand moved past her, reaching the side of the wall. She turned her eyes to follow him. A door opened in midair.
“There are three steps to reaching Underlord. Mastering yourself, mastering the world around you, and then connecting yourself to the world. It’s the third step that’s the most mysterious.”
“It is a personal revelation,” Eithan said. “A true, deep understanding of yourself that causes the soulfire inside you to resonate with the aura around you, activating your advancement.”

“I will also allow each of you to take all that you can carry from this place.” Lindon's void key zipped open. Everyone looked at him. “Apologies,” he said, cutting off the flow of madra. “Forgiveness, please.”
