Stieg Larsson’s three books—known as the Millennium Trilogy or The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series—have sold more than eighty million copies, but his greatest achievement wasn’t writing thrillers. He devoted his entire adult life to fighting right-wing extremism.

My goal was to write an easily accessible book on a tough subject, where any conclusions would be based on known facts and clearly presented as possible but not proven. If more people come to understand how it is that the Palme assassination can still remain unsolved, how Stieg may have been on the right track, and what one possible solution might look like, then I will have achieved my goal. To get there, I have tried to be consistent in how I approached the material.
