Connecting the original old library with its modern addition, the courtyard was a gorgeous square arcade with a shady sheltered walkway, tables and chairs looking out over a garden, and a fountain with a statue of a pixie, perhaps, or some other breed of mythological creature, dancing whilst taunting a baby with some grapes.
