As a wise friend reminds me regularly, it’s the acceptance that is the key. Acceptance makes action possible, because in sight of the bear, when there is no other option, you can’t choose not to act. Or rather, choosing not to act is a choice in itself. That won’t make the bear go away. And it might cost money, or lives (though I hope not) or time or hardship if you don’t act.

And in order to start looking for the assumption, you have to get past your first instinct, which is to fix the problem. But often, there isn’t really a problem to be fixed, other than your unrealistic expectation about the fact that there is a problem.
