Often in the midst of great loss, people will reduce their theology to match their experience. My dad wouldn’t allow the pain to draw him to wrong conclusions about the nature of God. Instead, he’d become even firmer in his belief, and he decided to choose faith. He asked all of us to make that decision, too.
