When God Becomes Real

When we worship, we declare who God is and who we are through Him.

God becomes real in a whole new way when He becomes your only option,

“We can fight our darkest fears with nothing more than praise and worship. As God is glorified, atmospheres are shifted when He comes. He eradicates our enemies and drives out our fear. Praise and worship were the things that ushered in the Presence of God and brought freedom.” His Presence comes when faith-filled worship is offered to Him. God can’t resist that kind of praise.

I couldn’t get a grip, but I also couldn’t shake the truth of God’s goodness. He would come. He always came. I just didn’t know when. I held on to the truth that God wasn’t causing this meltdown. He was the only one who could pull me out,

you can’t export something that you don’t have at home.

I’d always known the value of spending time with God and that time in His Word was important, but God had made it clear: His Word would restore me and renew my mind. It wasn’t just a good idea or principle anymore. It was the missing link, the thing I needed for healing, and the only option that would bring stability to my life.

I came to realize this truth: consider it a gift when God becomes our only option.

living only for the future had robbed me of the grace to live each day well.

But it’s easy to get a bit lost in the busyness when you see such good things coming from your ministry. We were going to recalibrate to make the main thing the main thing.

As we mended those relational breaks, we began to experience this truth: forgiveness is rarely a silent thing. In order to experience the full power of forgiveness, the pains of the past have to be talked about and dealt with. Reconciliation has to be pursued, explored and chased after.

“Experience the pain,” I said, “and bring it to God. You’ll find Him faithful.”
