To be a Texas Ranger had always been a point of pride for Rayburn; they’re about as outlaw as a law-enforcement agency gets. Their motto is “One Riot, One Ranger.” They took down John Wesley Hardin and Bonnie and Clyde. The Lone Ranger is a Texas Ranger gone rogue.
