The day had already been long. She’d fought one god, been embraced by four others, had seen her daughter morph from a sixteen-year-old to a baby, and had watched her She-Wolf perish only to be reborn like a Phoenix in Vulcun’s flames. Top that off with watching Lossiah being stuck with her sword and seeing yet another Dark Fae lose their wings . . . she really did just want this fucking day to be over. Being a Queen fucking sucked.

Thalia’s matching moan made him smirk, and for several seconds, no one said a goddamn word about anything. Nothing about the devastation on Earth, jack shit about the ancient Lykens, and zero about what had to go down in the upcoming days. They just ate. And it was good. Better than good. Just being together as a unit, as a family . . . the only thing that could have beat it was Sera being there and the still nameless She-Wolf pup.
Rafe intended, at some point in the near future, to fuck her on that chair.
