Convergys is a huge company with dozens of sites in the United States—it’s one of the largest call-center companies in the world, and the largest one with jobs stateside. I picked the Hickory site because the area has an interesting history as the furniture manufacturing capital of America, not because another miraculous Aunt Sue offered me a free bedroom there.
