“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean anything by it—” Antoine’s fingers covered my lips startling me. “Enough. I simply wish to remind you to think before you speak, because the next time you tell someone to bite you...” He leaned forward until I could feel his breath on my face. “... someone just might.”
“I have Darren,” I reminded him, not playing his game. “He is far better company and gives less lip.” Wynn opened his mouth to retort, and I held up a hand. “Forget it. I set myself up for that.
“Now, I need to release some of this energy before I bring the house down. Who will join me for a hunt?” It was not surprising that the whole table stood with me. We were all a bit on edge, and the reason being was only a paltry hundred and twenty pounds of blonde simpering flesh.
“Cursed or not, you do have a penchant for opening your mouth when you should be silent.” Standing, I fluffed my skirt. “I do not. Okay, maybe a little bit, but they antagonize me. I’m not just going to sit back and take it.” “In this case, you should not only take it, but bend over and ask them to fuck you please.”
