A 2012 study by Fairleigh Dickinson University revealed that people who watched MSNBC or Fox News knew less about international events than people who did not watch any news at all.
As the metamodern generation understand unconsciously, it does not matter what you are enthused by, just so long as you are enthused by something. The word itself comes from the Greek entheos, meaning ‘to be possessed by a god’. To be enthused is also the answer to the questions ‘How can I be saved?’ and ‘How can I be happy?’, so perhaps we are becoming wiser as a culture.
