Huldrych Zwingli taught that the Lord's Supper is a re-presentation of Christ's sacrifice but only in the symbolic sense of proclaiming it again.25 Zwingli pointed to Paul's words in 1 Cor 11:24–26 as the clearest biblical testimony for how the Supper should be understood.
