In order to think more, we have to feel more. And then take both into account when making decisions. Emotions are just as important for our survival as thoughts.
A trauma can be an accident, an injury, a serious illness, a loss… or any kind of life event that kicks your ass.
When we talk about things, they get better.
Scars are badges. They are a reminder that we healed.
It means knowing that no matter what else happens…you have YOU in your corner.
Medication as tool. Medication as something potentially life-saving. NOT medication as singular cure-all. And it should never be a mechanism for controlling people instead of symptoms,
You are a fuck-up. So am I. Yaaay for being human. Have some self-compassion for that fact.
Do your best to do your best.
Anxiety is an over-response to stress hormones.
I define it as a clinical case of the fuck-its.
Depression is the thief of all the wonderful things that make human-ing worth it.
