Exchange of Self for Other: Settle with body and breath. Now imagine another person sitting across from you. Reflect that she or he, like you, wants to live, not die; wants to be happy, not miserable. Feel yourself and the other person at this basic human level, beyond particulars. Now with each exhale, imagine yourself as the other person and the other person as you. See that body—across the room—as this body (yourself), and see this body as that body.
