Our examination of the DNA molecule in Chapter 9 revealed that lawlike forces of chemical attraction do not account for the information in DNA. Instead, DNA’s ability to carry information depends on the absence of lawlike forces of chemical attraction dictating the sequence of nucleotide bases along the double helix.
