Another physicist I interviewed, the late Henry Margenau, a distinguished Yale professor of quantum physics, put the point even more emphatically. When I asked him how he explained the fine tuning of the laws and constants of physics, he simply said, “There is a mind which is responsible for the laws of nature and the existence of nature and the whole universe. And this is consistent with everything we know.”45
