Even so, there are at least two other general types of fine tuning: the fine tuning of the initial conditions of the matter and energy at the beginning of the universe, and the fine tuning of other contingent features of the universe. These don’t get mentioned quite as often as the fine tuning of the laws and constants of physics, but they are every bit as important for the existence and maintenance of life in the universe.
