There is yet another reason to prefer theistic design as an explanation of fine tuning over exotic versions of naturalism that postulate a multiverse. In order to explain the origin of the fine tuning in our universe, both inflationary cosmology and string theory (and versions of the multiverse that combine them) posit universe-generating mechanisms that themselves require prior unexplained fine tuning.
