So many people are obsessed or overly fixated on food, purity, weight, exercise, and looks. And yes, if and when these people are your parents, this can be the cause of a lot of disordered eating in children, lots of self-judgment, and lots of pain. Surprise, surprise! Our parents’ neuroses and beliefs shape and affect our own before we ever have a chance to unlearn.
