As he believed God, the Bible says that the Lord credited righteousness to Abram, (v6). His actions of belief in the promises of God were enough for him to be declared righteous in the eyes of God. We might call this “saving faith”. It is this type of faith that all Christians have – we have believed in Jesus and been made righteous. However, despite believing in God and being declared righteous, Abram still had not received the manifestation of the promise of God.
