The Miracle Table: REDISCOVERING THE POWER OF COMMUNION

For many of us it seems we live a life that seems dry and barren. Many of us know what it is to struggle and get by, planting much but reaping little. For many of us life is just tough. It’s hard. It’s difficult. For many of us “the winter season” has become a lifestyle of winter; the wilderness the place we have camped in for far too long. But at the Table something remarkable happens - we find that our location changes! We find that we have come to “the heavenly Jerusalem….to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the Church of the firstborn, whose names are written in Heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant.” (Hebrews 12:22-24) We find that “the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother”. We find that “we have a building from God, an eternal house…not built by human hands.” (2 Corinthians 5:1) We have been transported from Lo Debar and are now “seated with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”
