Even though the baker died in Genesis 40, his testimony of Joseph still spoke to Pharaoh in the following chapter. The cupbearer, who did not die but was restored back to Pharaoh’s presence, he was the one who speaks on behalf of Joseph to Pharaoh. The Bread and Wine still speak today. Even though the body of Christ was broken two thousand years ago, His sacrifice still speaks, His wounds still speak. They still speak of our salvation, they still speak of our healing.
