The meditators claim they are reaching “pure consciousness” or “bare consciousness”. In fact, they are eradicating consciousness, or reaching the most primitive and useless expression of consciousness, i.e. Hegelian sense-certainty where you simply acknowledge the existence of the world, but have absolutely no conception, knowledge and understanding of what existence is, of what you are experiencing.
