The beautiful conundrum of free will: if it were utterly free, it would be indistinguishable from madness, action without reason or cause. You can make any choice in the universe. But you will make the choice that belongs to you. Offered ten thousand choices, you will always make the choice that is most yours. And so the soul, the beautiful gift of free will, appears, in the end, no different from determinism.
