Her spirit had strength like the raging of a fire that could reach out into the depths of space, burning deeper than anyone’s, but her body kept it locked in extreme confinement. Maybe this pointless energy of hers had led her to sense, at a glance, what it was that shone in Kyōichi’s eyes?
