Trans people are more likely to be the victims of violence in gender-segregated spaces including public restrooms and there has never been any evidence to indicate that transgender people or mythical “people claiming to be transgender” enter these spaces to engage in illegal or improper behaviors.689 Significant numbers of transgender people report being denied access to facilities, or being physically or sexually assaulted in them.
