the point I’m attempting to direct you toward is that evangelicals purported, for decades, to position the urgent need for the reestablishment of Christian values as the central doctrine of their political motivations. Above all else, we were tasked with growing God’s kingdom, preserving His creation, helping the poor, and loving the downtrodden.
