Who is this imposter, and what has he done with my teacher? Should I poke him to make sure he’s not Hologram Professor Sebastian? Because this doesn’t sound like the cranky pants we all know…and er, tolerate.
He puts a hand on my shoulder. “Important things should always be fought for.”
“And I have an appointment with Pete at the Dwarf Police Squad headquarters.” Jack snickers, and I glare at him. “Maybe I should take you with me, so he can lock you up. There is no way you’re going to make it three hours in the village without stealing something.”
“So I’m doomed?” I ask worriedly. “Not at all! Your true love for your sister made that harp come alive,” he explains. “While she had ulterior motives, your heart was pure. And in times of war, that can make all the difference. Good always wins in the end, but it can use some help getting there.
I look at him strangely. “Wait. You’re not acting happy. Are you not under the enchantment?” He chuckles and looks at Professor Sebastian. “Those of us with an inner beast aren’t usually affected by wishes.” “And yet somehow, AG has fallen for it wholeheartedly,” Professor Sebastian says with a sigh. “She’s more human than I realized.” He scratches his head. “If I have to hear her sing, ‘Oh, Enchantasia,’ one more time…”
