Sticking to old habits is a recipe to fail, not scale, and they are no way to live your life, much less run a company.
To begin, ask yourself these important questions: Am I playing big enough? Do I look at my business as a way to change the world? How big of an impact do I want to make?
In order to take the leap from entrepreneur to enterprise, you must be willing to tear the pieces of your business apart and reconstruct them at a higher level that drives your growth.
Doubling your business does not mean working doubly hard with your sweat equity.
Do you want to be in the same place a year from now, and 10 years from now?
While everyone else was pulling out, I was trying to do something disruptive, innovative, and creative.
I developed two strategic blueprints: one to grow a business and the other to scale a business.
Having a “cool idea” and “making lots of money” are not good enough. You have to have something inside you, a calling, a purpose. That will fuel you at 3:00 a.m. when other people are giving up.
It’s the work, the people, and the experiences along the way that give purpose and meaning to what you are doing.
Instead of moving forward, you are running around in circles – which means no growth and merely surviving, not thriving.
Creating a story and intention of what you want your life or business to look like is like writing an order to the Universe. Now you just need to back it up with relentless action.
The best strategy, in golf or business, is to keep your eye on the big vision and play to win, rather than playing not to lose.
The Big Picture Vision Mind Map
Write your answers in present tense, as if five years into the future is happening now.
