Let’s be clear: The idols contain no actual power (Jeremiah 10:5). They have no independent will, agency, rationality, personhood, or anything of the sort. But by virtue of what they are associated with in the spirit, they carry a different spiritual oppression and may give demons access into our lives—not because of the object itself, but because of what it’s connected to.
