Additionally, 9S, 2B’s companion, does not have top secret clearance.
The sensor in the goggles flashed red to show the proximity.
People tend to search for more similarities between two entities as soon as they notice a few. Even if they know it’s futile, they search for traces. That is what it’s like for people who have lost someone dear. “The situation the other androids are facing is a bit concerning, isn’t it?” asked 9S. Was she a culprit as well? Was she trying to compare? Was she trying to search?
2B thought she heard a scream. Neither a song nor a word. This time, it was truly just a sound with no meaning.
Type S androids had a strong sense of curiosity. It was quite vital, as their primary function was to perform research. But an excessive curiosity would lead to one’s downfall. 2B knew that better than anyone else.
“We’re the newest models. Unlike an older model like A2,” said 9S. A2’s name probably came up because she had been on his mind. Of course, they had just struggled to fight against that same older model. “A2? Attacker…No. 2?” sputtered Anemone.

Are you telling me they are wearing high-tech goggles/blindfolds and they can't dim the sun for an android that wouldn't process light the same way as a human to begin with?
He hijacked the Machines by hacking, made them fight each other, and they exploded. 2B had been infected by a virus, showered by bullets from other YoRHa-type androids, and killed by A2. 9S wanted the enemy to experience something similar.
This was the only time he wished that Machines had emotions. He wanted them to feel the trauma of getting attacked by comrades and the anguish of being betrayed by their trusted allies.
Without that awareness, as Pascal had said, we would be prone to dying recklessly by our own hands.
Raptors were most vulnerable when they were pouncing on the enemy.
Perhaps when one makes an effort to understand something that is incomprehensible, their thought process is changed and developed further. “From Pod 042 to Pod 153. I refuse to delete the personal data.”
