Kindle Notes & Highlights
Toddlers learn best when they touch things, smell things, hear things, taste things, and see things. To raise curious learners, look for ways to provide hands-on, firsthand experiences for them.
“Teach by teaching, not by correcting.”
Look at the process, not the result. Focus on our child’s effort by describing their effort. “You made big circles.” “I see you mixed these two colors.” •
Praise can actually take the joy away, with children looking to us for reassurance rather than experiencing delight at what they have achieved.
We are enough. We are doing our best.
