I learned that VCs could destroy and wreck a great startup if left uncontrolled. Mobile2win India might have declined in profitability but would not have been sold at a throwaway price if the VCs had retained some entrepreneur DNA in it. The incident taught me about people and their motivations. I learned that it was not fair on my part to expect loyalty forever. This deal also educated me a lot more about VCs and investors.
