Going on holiday to a warm climate was the cruellest fate a good book could possibly face.

A kid rolled by on a BMX, popping a wheelie, seemingly unaware that one day he and everyone he knows will be dead.

Surprisingly profound for David Sodergren, but that's maybe why I enjoy his books for the sometimes perfect mix of horror, comedy and ideas.

‘Guys…if I was to eat myself…would I disappear…or become twice as big?’

This book keeps on giving 😆.

Hope was just an acceptable lie people told themselves to get through the day.

She may as well have prayed to Cheech and Chong for all the good it did.
